Telling the Capital Allocation Story: Aligning Corporate Strategy, Returns, and Capital Allocation for Investors

Program Details:

Join NIRI’s Rocky Mountain Chapter for its second annual Rocky Mountain Summit, featuring local and national experts in capital allocation and telling the capital allocation story. The event will run from 1:45pm to 5:00pm and will be followed by a happy hour at Shanahan’s Steakhouse from 5:00pm-7:30pm.  (Note: the happy hour is included in the price of the Summit - attendees for the Summit need not register separately for both events.)

Join us for a fun happy hour event at the Shanahan’s Steakhouse!  Drinks and hors d’oevres provided. Come socialize with your NIRI peers and sample a taste of one of the best steakhouses in Denver.  Hope to see you there!

 

This event follows the NIRI - Rocky Mountain Capital Allocation Summit, but you need not attend the Summit to attend the happy hour.  Likewise, attendees for the Summit need not register separately for both events.

 Ms. Corbin established and manages Corbin Perception, an industry-leading investor relations advisory firm assisting public companies with creating shareholder value.  As well, she serves as Editor in Chief of Inside the Buy-side®, a leading industry publication that captures trends in institutional investor sentiment and which is covered by news affiliates worldwide and regularly featured on CNBC.

Over the past 15+ years, Ms. Corbin has provided strategic counsel to public companies worldwide and across diverse sectors.  Her areas of expertise include institutional investor research, value creation drivers, strategy and investor relations best practices.  A thought leader and catalyst for affecting positive change, Ms. Corbin has extensive C-suite and board-level consulting experience and, as a subject matter expert, serves as guest speaker at corporate meetings, conferences and is a recurring guest on CNBC.

Prior to founding Corbin Perception in 2007, Rebecca was a vice president with Thomson Reuters where she established and led Thomson’s investor perception study business.  Prior to that, she was a stock surveillance analyst covering high profile media/entertainment and cable companies.

Rebecca is a member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), where she has held leadership positions, and honor societies Omicron Delta Kappa and Sigma Beta Delta.  Career-related achievements and honors awarded to Ms. Corbin include Hartford Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty (2016), Washington College’s Alumni Horizon Ribbon Award (2011) and Thomson Reuter’s Award of Excellence for Entrepreneurial Spirit (2005).

Ms. Corbin graduated cum laude and with honors from Washington College with a B.A. in Business Management.  Rebecca serves as a Trustee on the boards of Washington College, The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts and Hartford Symphony Orchestra.  She is President of the Jim and Rebecca Loree Foundation, a not-for-profit charitable organization that she co-founded with her husband in 2009.  Ms. Corbin resides in Central CT with her husband and their three daughters.

Join us for this timely meet and greet opportunity with Gary LaBranche, NIRI’s new President and CEO. We look forward to this opportunity to learn more about Gary’s insights into IR as he prepares to lead NIRI in its next stage of growth.

 

Mr. LaBranche, 58, is currently president and CEO of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), a global organization of 59 chapters in 10 countries, $29 million in revenue and 160 staff. ACG serves 90,000 investors, lenders, executives and advisors to middle market companies, including 14,500 global members and 1,000 private equity firms.  
 
An association executive for more than 35 years, Mr. LaBranche has served as CEO for three organizations. A leader in the association community, he was named a Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) in 1995, and was the ASAE Key Award winner for 2007, the highest award in the profession. ASSOCIATION TRENDS named him the 2012 Association Executive of the Year. He is also a member of the U.S. Chamber’s Association Committee of 100.
